Remember,Don jazzy made a similar statement when he said no one can be like dbanj.Dbanj is no doubt a veteran in terms of music.

In a recent interview with Toolz, the First Lady of Mavin ‘Tiwa Savage’, popularly know for her hit single “Kele Kele Love” debunks the theory that she is D’banj’s replacement stating that there is no way she can replace D’banj, She explains that Don Jazzy never had the intention to replace D’banj because nobody can be like D’banj. She mentioned that she is just an extra, bringing the swag & sexy twist to the group.She talks about her busy schedule in the past couple of months and how she became the First Lady of Mavin records. She talks about her reservations in releasing an album; but she also confirms that she will be releasing an album by the the end of the month and has just 6 tracks left to record on the album. So watch out!

Tiwa’s dress style was influenced by the likes of Beyonce and moving back to Nigeria from L.A was a bit of a culture shock but she has learnt to blend the different cultures to attract a wider range of fans.

9ice set to star in a Yoruba movie

The singer is currently shooting a Yoruba flick titled Jejere (Tumor), produced by Laide Bakare and featuring Fathia Balogun, Emeka Ike and a host of others. Heard he's playing the lead character in the drama that deals with the girl-child value and lack of interest in the importance of female children in most Nigerian families. The movie will be out soon. Watch out for this movie.

Those of you who follow my main account may have seen me tweet about that show from time to time. I didn't always 'weigh in' publicly on it but I KEPT A CLOSE EYE ON IT all the time. He was my favorite to win it all from the beginning. (It is in those Tweets somewhere..go find it if you must have confirmation) due to his VOICE AND HIS EXPERIENCE. I DEFINITELY think it would have been a disappointment to me if he had not performed well enough to win.


Not that he was the only one on the show with talent. Hell no. I know folks saying that the runner up should have won... I won't 'argue' that. Not because I 'can't' but rather it is their opinion. Mine just happens to differ and I don't argue 'opinions'. That is pointless.  There was some TALENT on that show. He faced some HEAD UP a little earlier than I think even The Voice's folks would have like in hindsight.. (Those of you who watched the show, you KNOW THE EARLY ELIMINATION round I'm talking about...That should have been a 'Finals' type of thing...) Anyway..congratulations to him. Lets see if this parlays into something bigger for Jermaine. I hope it does.

Tiwa Savage Lands Mouth Watering Deal With PEPSI

One of Nigeria's most gifted and sensational female singer, Tiwa Savage, has landed a mouth watering endorsement deal with popular beverage company Pepsi, which is said to be worth several millions of Naira.

In a telephone interview, her manager confirmed the report to NET magazine, but refused to disclose the value of the contract. This is what he said:
"Yea, the deal is true, I can confirm that but that’s all I can say for now’, Tunji ‘T-Billz’ Balogun  told NET in a phone conversation. Balogun later explained he signed a non-disclosure agreement with the parties involved, saying "I’m still surprise how the news got out so soon". Congrats girl!
