Report reaching us indicates that Nollywood top actress, Uche Jumbo, Ghanaian actor, Van Vicker and some crew members were arrested by men of the Nigeria Police in Lagos on Thursday.
It was gathered that the beautiful actress and her colleagues were picked up while on location in the Surulere area of Lagos. As at the time of posting, they were still detained at Bode Thomas police station in the city.
Yes, they now know why the police arrested them. I think it was a mixed up kind of because they are not the only ones guilty of this offence... The policemen say Nollywood movies always abuse and misrepresent Nigeria police, and painting them in bad light. So they want to know what the movie they were shooting is all about before knowing whether to allow it or not, a source told a reporter.
Efforts by one of my peeps to speak directly with either Uche Jumbo or Van Vicker to know the next line of action proved abortive.
