Darey to host Naija Sings Season 3

And just like the whirlwind that swept away Jim Iyke and Kate Hensahw as GLO Ambassadors, high profile broadcaster Olisa Adibua has been dropped as host of the GLO, M-Net powered annual TV reality talent hunt show, Naija Sings.
As season three of the TV reality show commenced, the organiser announced that Mr. Olisa Adibua has been replaced by multi-talented and awards winning R&B musician Darey.

Olisa Adibua will be moving from his two-season stint as the show’s host to another position as resident judge. He is expected to put his music knowledge and expertise to use in evaluating contestants, giving them honest and straightforward feedback as they attempt to become the next Nigerian superstar.
Returning to lend his knowledge and skills to the aspiring contestants is music star, Tosin Martins as vocal and performance coach, while the ever dynamic Dokta Frabz is back as music director.
In order to make the show even more interesting, other specially selected music professionals,
artistes and top Nigerian music industry icons will be joining Olisa during each episode as celebrity judges.
At an event held in Lagos to officially launch the new season of the programme, Globacom’s Head of Glo 1 and Business Solutions, Folu Aderibigbe stated that “all hands are on deck to ensure that the third season is bigger, better and more exciting in terms of organization, exposure and the quality of talents that the show will put on stage for the big cash prize of $100,000 USD and a brand mew Toyota RAV 4, Glo Ambassadorship and a recording contract with a leading record company.”
Speaking at the event, Gideon Khobane, Marketing Manager, M-Net Africa, said the company was happy to partner with Glo once more on a programme which has continued to draw large audiences who are eager to see, hear and celebrate great music from rising Nigerian stars.
Already, auditions have been held in several locations across the country with top contestants selected in Ibadan, Benin, Enugu, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Kaduna and Lagos .
