(Video) @young_guru breaks down the Niggas in Paris vs Niggas in Poorest
Courtesy of Rap Radar..
What are YOUR THOUGHTS on what he said?
How did I take it? I took it as a diss AT FIRST but I respect the fact that Mos has the right to speak on the other side of it. What I would LIKE to see is Mos get back to a platform where it doesn't have to be a 'response' to record. (He does MAKE RECORDS ADDRESSING THIS obviously but his platform isn't as big as Jay's. Acting career or not. He isn't getting played on 'non rap playing' radio stations, WSTW comes to mind. They play NIGGAS IN PARIS on their station..) Mr. Keaton kinda touches on that at the end of the video. @ if folks agree with Mos like they say, then give him the platform then...BY SUPPORTING HIM financially when his records come out. That is where my own issue lies with the record. It isn't that I believe he is dissing Jay (and 'Ye) but more about the fact that he KNOWS how folks are. They are gonna take it as a diss. He probably could have cleared it up a bit IHMO as to what his 'real' motive is. (Which is to speak on the other side of things). Or maybe he doesn't care to do so. (Which is my personal opinion. I could be wrong. I can accept that..) Either way, it is nice to see someone articulate that for him as a possible alternative as to how one should 'take the record'. *
*It should be noted that WHILE I AM A HUGE FAN OF JAY AND 'YE, I am actually not CRAZY about "Niggas In Paris' So there is no heat coming from me in that regard.. I don't 'hate' Mos either actually. I think he is pretty dope. I haven't forgotten his 'drunken' rant about Jay though. Sorry. So I know there is history there.
